Deck & Dock Umbrella Stand
Clamp this stand to your deck or your dock. The dimensions of this stand are 5 by 7 inches. It is made of aluminum and is finished with an aluminum clearcoat. This item is the best for decks boat docks and even a picnic table. With all of these wood surfaces there is a standard gap between the wood that allows drainage and expansion or contraction of wood. Note: The two black toggles on either side of the neck. The underside has long flattend bolts that are part of the top 'black pieces' showing in the picture. These bolts (3 inches long) have rounded bottoms approximately the size of 1/2 dollar. The diameter of the opening is 1 3/4 fitting umbrellas with pole diameters between 1 3/8 and 1 1/2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Turn the 'top black piece' parallel to the separations in the wood. Slide the bolts through the separations in the wood. Turn the 'top black piece' 90 degrees clock wise (this causes the rounded bottom of the bolt to become an anchor preventing removal of the bolt.) The rounded piece underneath is made round for strength and will not bend under pressure it also protects the wood on the underside of the deck. The bottom larger black piece of the toggle (showing in the picture) should be tightend down to hold all parts tight to the wood. (this piece is adjustable and will fit various sizes of wood.) The base will now hold as strong as the wood it's attached to.
