Ground Covers

Japanese Spurge
The Japanese Spurge plant, ‘Pachysandra terminalis,’ is also commonly known as Pachysandra. This shrubby, evergreen ground cover will grow up to one foot in total height and spreads by rhizomes. The oval leaves are two to four inches long and appear primarily in whorls at the ends of the stem. It is also a very effective plant for use in a border or along paths and driveways. It can also be used as a lawn substitute in shaded areas with no traffic. This perennial requires partial to full shade in order to thrive.
