Ferns

Hayscented Fern
The Hayscented Fern, ‘Dennstaedtia punctilobula,’ is a very common plant. It can be most easily identified by its lacy, light green fronds that feel slightly sticky to the touch. Often growing in large colonies, it will appear to be forming a carpet. When the leaves are bruised, they smell like fresh mown hay, which is where it receives its name. An aggressive spreader, this is a very popular garden fern. It can be used in the landscape or borders, massing, specimen and groundcover. This deciduous perennial fern is a fast grower.
