Ground Covers

Halliana Japanese Honeysuckle
The Japanese Honeysuckle, ‘Halliana Lonicera japonica,’ is the most widely planted of all the honeysuckles. Also known as Hall’s Honeysuckle, it features whitish-yellow flowers that have a wonderful fragrance. These are very fast growing plants and will quickly cover a spread of fifteen to thirty feet. When grown for groundcover purposes, they generally reach about two feet in height. This vine makes an excellent ground cover for use on banks and slopes, and does wonders for erosion control. Unfortunately, this plant can become quite invasive.
