Ann Chowning Iris
The Iris Ann Chowning, ‘Iris siberica,’ features intense velvety red blooms with deep yellow signals. This Iris blooms from late spring into summer. With a plant height of three feet and a spread of up to two feet, this plant is perfectly suited for the back of a flower garden, and is an easily grown Iris plants. It prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sunlight, but will tolerate small amounts of afternoon shade. They grow best around pools, ponds and water gardens, and will also look wonderful in mass plantings. They can also be grown on steep banks to help in the prevention of erosion, and are deer resistant.
